Into the Woods

The famous clouds and rain of the pacific northwest didn’t keep us from exploring the Redwood Forest for our Fall Campaign trip. Someone told me the other day that the Redwoods is considered a rain forest, which totally makes sense now! The ground under the trees is spongey, the moss and ferns a lush green and the trees thrive on this misty atmosphere.

We had some really great brands on board with us for this campaign trip, and I’m excited to release the first blog post feature of Elizabeth Stone’s lookbook!

Her jewelry is magical and was perfect for our escape into the woods. We discovered the beautiful huge rocks that make up the riverbed of the Jedediah Smith River. They came in beautiful shades of blue and grey and agate. I kept finding beautiful stones of agate, marble, and quartz, and Josh’s pockets soon became full of river rocks that I couldn’t help but take with me. It was either misting, hazy, or raining the whole time. And although it was tough to brave the cold, it was a sort of mystical atmosphere to shoot in- with soft light and a feeling of suspense from the huge trees looming on either side of the river, and the overall quiet of it all. We felt lost in a timeless place, a place old and full of mystery.
