Lemon Blanc Cooler

August always seems like the sweetest month of summer. You know it’s close to an end, so you want to savor every little moment. I kick into full summer mode, thinking of all the things I want to do before the season is up. From meals I want to eat, outfits I want to wear, and places I want to go. Even the way I want to spend my evenings. One of the sweet discoveries this summer was my new favorite drink we happened to discover one evening when sipping on some Sauvignon Blanc. It was post-photoshoot and we had shot outside till the sun went down, then relocated to our recently built deck behind our Airstream to sip on drinks and enjoy the remainder of the light. It’s always the best hour of the day when the sun dips behind the canyon wall and the harsh heat backs off, and the air cools. The light softens and the birds start to come home to their trees that hang above our little silver home.

This drink became the perfect flavor of summer evenings, and so refreshing you’ll want to drink more than you should!

Lemon Blanc Cooler Drink Recipe

1 Bottle of Sauvignon Blanc
Lemon Sorbet
Mint Leaves
Frozen Blackberries
Tumbler Glasses (I prefer moroccan glass tumblers!)

Although for this blog post I used Mango Sorbet so it would show up in the photos (which is also tasty), I’d recommend lemon sorbet to go with the lightness of the wine and mint!

Directions

Fill your tumbler half way with your wine, then gently muddle 2-3 mint leaves into it.
Add 1-2 large scoops of lemon sorbet (or as much as you want!)
Add more wine to fill remainder of your tumbler.
Add 2-3 frozen blackberries (frozen berries float, while fresh berries sink to the bottom)

And voila, it’s that simple! Enjoy!
