DTLA

The last month has been a whirlwind of city streets and coastal beaches. We have set up home base for a short while in Costa Mesa, which I’ve decided is the perfect spot to be when everything interesting is within an hour’s drive or less. Whether it’s north up to LA, or south to Laguna, I feel like we’ve found another one of those places that’s too perfect, and I don’t want to leave.

A couple days in LA and I was starting to feel the casual vibes. We explored DTLA for the food and art district, and hit up one of my new favs Cafe Gratitude for positive vibes and raw veggie goodness. My trusty sidekick Assistant, Cassie (who some of you brands out there may have spoken with via email!) was an angel and played taxi for our city adventures, sharing all the good spots to eat and sites to see. And helped us find the perfect black and white walls to shoot in front of. They are surprisingly hard to find…

I strayed a little from my usual style, leaving behind the flowy and the layers of boho for a simpler, comfier, street style edge. Thanks to one of my favs, Kariella Boutique, for dressing me from top to bottom for the occasion! I love seeing what Amara brings in to her shop each month. She has all sorts of price ranges and styles, and is one of the places I recommend to friends and followers alike due to her great taste. It’s so easy to walk out with a big bag full of favorites.
